So how about you take a look at the denials of prior authorizations. They never make it to claims because they denied the services prior to them taking place. Of course we have a choice, and our choice is to help service our patients who are, without a doubt, the most important piece of what we do.

If you worked in the medical field and actually did this for a living you would have the proper context. Appeals are just that, an appeal, and they ABSOLUTELY consistently deny those as well. That’s the context. Hope it helps.

I work with UHC every single day and they deny 90% of our requests. We know what the medical necessity requirements are and we make sure our requests pass the test. THEY DON’T FUCKING CARE. Have you need a power wheelchair, hospital bed, oxygen, ventilator, cancer medication, among many others?
