NC Republicans are at it again. Trump wants more House seats, so the NC GOP wants to please their king by redrawing the district maps yet again despite their outrageous gerrymandering in 2023. Please attend this rally to show Republicans that we're watching.

No Kings
As the president escalates his authoritarian power grab, the NO KINGS non-violent movement continues to rise stronger. We are united once again to remind the world: America has No Kings and the power ...
On Oct. 18, millions of people are rising again to show the world that America has no kings & the power belongs to the people. It's important that we show up in huge numbers to prove that we will not accept authoritarianism, even though corporations and institutions have caved in. www.nokings.org

Teachers now banned from displaying gay pride flags in this NC school district
The district is also considering removing wording in its anti-discrimination policies that explicitly list sexual orientation and gender identity as protected groups.
"Johnston County has banned gay pride flags in schools but is deadlocked for now on removing wording from its anti-discrimination policies that explicitly protect LGBTQ+ students and school employees." The school board voted 4-2 on Tuesday to approve new limits on what can be displayed at schools.

Update: Today, the NCSBE has formally petitioned for NC Supreme Court to bypass Court of Appeals & immediately take up Griffin's election protest. Riggs supports this; Griffin doesn't. The stakes: Whether Griffin would need a 4-2 or 3-3 SupCo vote to overturn election. #ncpol
