I am so glad that Nikki (@take_me_awayyy) recommended this mystery book because it had me cackling out loud.
Glory is a Catholic and part of the Red Hat Society in Lafayette, Lousiana. She is a bit of an outsider in the group due to her business, being a bookie. She is best friends with a woman who joined the nunnery who supposedly committed suicide. Glory’s daughter is in town due to some personal issues that happened in her life, and she is an attorney. She teamed up with her mom to figure out what happened to Glory B’s friend.
They get caught up in a dog fighting enterprise, a drug dealer, someone who is stealing and trying to get Glory kicked out of her home and so much more.
This book also talks about mental health, grief, love, and loneliness. I cannot wait for the next book in the series.
