If you're modding the code to see what modern MC can be back-ported to an older version...starting to hit a grey area for me, but still seems valid.
Modifying the code to inject malware or using AI tools to force DMCAs to prevent people from talking about this - not cool at all.

If you are wanting the code for historical purposes of saving something not being updated anymore, that to me is valid.
If you're documenting it in the form of a video without showing any links, & just talking about significance, that to me is valid.

AI-generated artwork is officially not eligible for copyright protection after the U.S. Supreme Court declined to review the appeal.
The court ruled that a work must have a human creator in order to qualify for copyright.
