Finally got to do some on the ground grappling, and the advice of "just stand up" has proven true. You can't get pinned if you just refuse to engage with what they're trying to do to you lol

My instructor got to lecture us about the philosophical aspects of KDF while work is done in our fencing space, and it was a really neat discussion. I'm excited for this same discussion style class for our ringen session tonight

Yes! HEMA encompasses lots of different swords, all the way from daggers to zweihanders (albeit rarely). I personally do longsword, cause that's where my interests are. Pic of my sword on the right
