"Something went wrong" is no longer an acceptable error msg.

As a software dev, it irks me to no end that you withold info I could use to solve my problem. I got over it b/c I realized not everyone is a dev.

However, now that anyone can paste errors into LLMs, it's time to give more context.

Hyper Card was the primordial hypermedia. I don’t know the lineage, but I suspect it led humanity to HTML.

Cabbage looks like a good way to spruce up cheap ramen. Maybe I need to keep that on hand. What else do you add to it?

Sorry about the score.

10/10 if they had mentioned APM

The threaded summary alone was quite an adventure. I’d love to read the finer details in the blog

Amazing photo!

TIL: those wispy things are called “spicules” and the average spicule is 5,000–10,000 km in length.

For comparison, Earth’s mean radius is 6,371 km. Sun fuzzies are HUGE.

Once again I feel compelled to mention, unless you’re trading securities, you don’t have an “ask,” you have a request or a need.

I thought that WAS hyperbolic, but then I looked it up and just learned of the “illusion of superabundance." Your comparison is reasonable.

Yup. I’m still frustrated that we’re all okay with pretending “stop” and “arrest” mean different things.

Zero-cost Functional Records in Rust Rust enables zero-cost functional style by @jonwolski

Rust can optimize what appears to be "copy-construction" into
update-in-place when a function consumes a struct and returns a copy of that struct, even with some modifications to the original struct.

The functional programming abstractions are truly zero-cost.

Exactly. The checks and balances don’t work if Congress colludes to shift power to the Executive branch.

It could lower the rating on Treasury bills. That would increase the interest rate we pay on the national debt. Then we would have to drum up more debt just to cover the interest at a time when we had just made American debt less desirable to investors.
