i'm also still so scared to gig again with my spasmodic dysphonia but as long as it doesn't get any worse 🤞🤞🤞 it'll be more or less what i've already been dealing with

i could sit here and bitch about what my band hasn't done or achieved (full US tour 😭) but we are still so lucky to get to tour AT ALL and with the bands we want to tour with. with our best friends!!!!!

on the first wc tour i cried so much driving home because i was like "wtf we've been a band for 4-5 years and we JUST finally got to play florida. what if we never come back, what if we never tour again"

wrote my lyrics for a feature tonight, was going to try to work in a twilight reference (i couldn't it's fine lul) and looked up the manuscript of new moon. this melodramatic ass quote i absolutely made this my facebook status in high school

like, mariah could sing simple and clean, but it simply wouldn't be the same if it wasn't hikaru utada (who i believe could also be as agile at riffs if they wanted to be or felt it was necessary!! it's just not a style i hear from them)

as a little kid i dreamed of singing like christina and mariah when i got older, but now i'd just be happy to make an impact with any level of singing ability that i can have. i don't think being virtuosic is a prerequisite for being an impactful singer. the vocalists i look up to vary in technique
