Det ingår i civil olydnad att ta konsekvenserna av sina överträdelser eller brott, men då kan inte staten plötsligt ändra brottsrubriceringar och utvidga olika repressionsinstrument.

Civil olydnad är inte ett hot mot demokratin, utan en del av den. Demokratins former är aldrig färdiga, och kan bara förnyas om det finns stort utrymmer för medborgare att utmana dem. Däremot är det ett hot när politiska aktivister utsätts för repression, utvisas eller kriminaliseras.

My article is out! On how ‘ecosystem services’ went from a word for those aspects of nature that economics cannot express to a word for nature's economic value, and how concerns for planetary habitability disappeared from the environmentalist vocabulary.
