Whatβs next for Godot?
Our new Priorities page is a wishlist of improvements weβd love to see and where contributions, sponsors, and new devs can make an impact.

Simply had to do it to em, but yeah Iβm working on a demake scene of AWII lol

Thank you! I'll put in a good word to my insects for you
In fear of becoming "the insect man", this is the last insect related thing I'll post for a while (Other than maybe a tutorial) lmao
Flies exaggerated for video, and I've tried lowering the resolution of the game but unsure about it, let me know!

Thank you!
Would love to be added to this!
Here's some (exaggerated for video) fireflies that I was messing around with yesterday
I really want to work on my ambience/atmosphere skills because I think it's so important for immersion, especially for horror games

Time to schedule a daily scrum incase there's any blockers
Careful they'll hear you calling..
Yeah exactly! I'd imagine this as part of a build up as things are getting a bit weird and the player's starting to be put on edge. It's not a scare by itself but just part of the unnerving atmosphere eventually leading to one
You're amazing, thank you!
Would love to be an addition to one of these!
I have no idea if this freeze effect would be even remotely unnerving in an actual game with proper art and atmosphere but I think it looks cool af and that's all that matters

There's also an anim on the main atttactor to push them down occasionally to stop them clumping up, and the moths are just a simple 2 frame sprite. Maybe it could be done more efficiently but couldn't figure it out π€·ββοΈ
The lack of (good) moth tutorials is a crime, I might have to make one
By beating my head against a wall for a few hours trying to figure out the particle system π
Seriously though, it's a 3D particle system with a lot of high noise turbulence, a sphere attractor to pull the moths to the light and another above to keep them from going too high
Last video was hard to see, let's try again.. Here's a neat little moth effect I threw together in Godot. Always loved little ambience touches like this

Test with no mood scores
Upgrading my mood to a [7] for the sake of testing and because I did actually have a productive end of the day
Today's a [6]. Still feeling motivated and in good spirits but where the actual fuck did half the day go? Should have done so much more π
If I just believe extra hard, ignore my lack of creative ability and hyperfixate for a couple hours, I'm sure I'll be able to recreate this art made over the space of a week by someone with 10+ years more experience than me..

Day 2 test is feeling like an [8]. Feel extremely motivated at the moment and getting plenty done. Snow was a really really nice addition π
Hateful/judgemental people are generally less appealing to be around
Not going to pretend I know nearly enough about what you're doing here but, if you aren't already, is there any way you could use a Voxel game esque greedy meshing algorithm to reduce those vertices?
Working on "small" projects always got me feeling like:

My test mood for today is feeling like a solid [9]
