I respectfully disagree. We heard all of this before on December 25, 1868 by President Johnson. Never again. The social structures that stand up and support institutional bigotry and racism needs to die like the evil they represent.

The cowards in ice need to learn what real bravery looks like, instead of hiding behind masks and terrorizing innocent folks.

Efforts to follow the administrative orders with the current administration is a fool's errand. Acting like the process is normal, per prior administrations, is insane and makes me question my sanity when sitting in those meetings. Stop acting like it is normal. Stop complying in advance.

"I told you so" is a thought that crosses my mind many times a day and frankly, it is nauseating in its frequency. Just today, I see administrators finally realizing the real intent of the September start of NIH bio standards rework - to starve institutes that don't tow the line with the pedo-party.

It is much worse than this. They are putting in EOs and administrative reviews for any type of regulated research funding that will require significant "monitoring" for "safety" but in fact are creating ways to control what is or is not studied and what tools (aka kickback streams) can be used.

In the fantasy world where American exceptionalism lives, I was told stories from olden times where communities would rise up and surround institutions found to be corrupt and evil to release the innocent. These kids are mostly brown though, so those old stories sound about white.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Alberto Castañeda Mondragón says his memory was so jumbled after a beating by immigration officers that he initially could not remember he had a daughter and still struggles to recall treasured moments like the night he taught her to dance. But the violence he endured last month in Minnesota while being detained is seared into his battered brain. He remembers Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents pulling him from a friend’s car on Jan. 8 outside a St. Paul shopping center and throwing him to the ground, handcuffing him, then punching him and striking his head with a steel baton. He remembers being dragged into an SUV and taken to a detention facility, where he said he was beaten again. He also remembers the emergency room and the intense pain from eight skull fractures and five life-threatening brain hemorrhages.

ICE told nurses this Minneapolis man “purposefully ran headfirst into a brick wall.”

What actually happened is that they pulled him from a car, beat him so viciously with a steel baton that he had 8 skull fractures, 5 life-threatening brain hemorrhages, and couldn’t remember he had a daughter.
