Tonight, I am enduring the smell of tuna (I *HATE* seafood) because it’s stinkier than her cat food. She seems thrilled but I have a feeling she’ll manage to eat around the mushed pieces of the Gabapentin treat 🫩

Hmmm good suggestion, unfortunately these are liver flavored 🥴 I think if I puree them and mix them better maybe she’d eat them, but I wish there were more liver options. I’m at the point where I need to try the liquid form again.

Tonight I:

Mashed the treat down as much as possible, mixed it with water (disgusting), and then mixed it into her food.

I had to sacrifice my milk frother. Better results than yesterday but not 100% successful. Monitoring her for wobbliness but none yet.

Will attempt butter method Thursday.

The placebo ones were much smaller, I have no idea what happened!!! I knew right away she’d never go for these

They actually gave me this tool that’s similar to a syringe, and I can put a tiny piece in it, but the treat is so large that I’d have to figure out how to force probably ten little pieces in her mouth

For scale reference, they’re pretty big. But no, I haven’t tried the butter method! She refused to eat these today, so I chopped one up and mixed it into her wet food and she managed to eat around the minuscule pieces 😭 I’ll try the butter tomorrow!

I attempted the burrito method but she’s got a tiny head and a big body, it’s very hard to wrap the towel around her securely!!!!

If you’ve had to give your cat Gabapentin and they refused it, how did you end up getting them to eat it? I’ve spent close to $200 on the liquid and treat forms and she’s refusing them. 🙄

Some hopecore tonight: I just followed an alert on Citizen for the last hour. A box of kittens + their mom dumped in a park. People in the chat all over Houston mobilized to rescue them, were offering donations etc.
The little family has been rescued before the temperature drops even more tonight!

I truly do not want to talk about politics and human rights all the time but I was raised by someone who does and I forget! Please remind me to be chaotic too!

Makes me feel proud as a Houstonian, we’ve got people fighting here they just rarely show it on social media

I put this on the other platform too but I have much less of a voice there than I used to 🤨

Star Wars fans, if you truly want to fight the Empire and you have the platform to do so, look at the constitutional rights they’re stripping from us. Look what they’re doing with Georgia. Look for ways to get involved. Hell, go watch Andor again and get radicalized idk!

I’m going to be so for real with y’all: I wish you’d put some of this energy towards amplifying stuff happening right now, or the primaries, instead of a convention that’s not until next year.
