One reason I regard the Reader + other regional pubs/crits as guiding lights is, as musickers, they hear what's going on locally before anyone else, which young/unestablished artist to consider, and the listing is the natural first piece of coverage, an introduction and an invitation. #LoveThisJob
Absolutely true about @dadastrain.bsky.social, and in fact I make a point of linking and x-reffing Piotr, Jim Macnie, and a couple of others every single week. Itβs the same idea as having six or more listings writers and editors at Time Outβ¦ no one can know or do it all alone.
