Remember how we said that yes, we were technically also changing Didymos’s orbit around the Sun, but by a small, unmeasurable amount?

So, it _was_ a very small amount but Rahil Makadia et al showed it was _not_ unmeasurable.

Notorious asteroid 2024 YR4 won't crash into the moon after all Earthlings aren't the only ones safe from a city-wrecking-size asteroid. Future lunar inhabitants won't have to worry about a strike in 2032 either

Gotta love how academic books don't earn you money, but LLMs can make money off of stealing them in the aggregate and if you write enough, they can also profit from stealing your personality after you are dead.

I think a topic that interests me (at least personally) is how to communicate science that “breaks the mold”- especially to an older audience that may tend to “thats not how we did it/thats not correct/not how I learned that” to an almost negative degree.

Unless the grades were that bad to warrant blood ink 👀 🩸
