I didn’t know a single thing about it going in (I still kind of thought it was a Nirvana biopic), and I left the theater evangelizing in its name. Which is definitely because I’m a Toronto-born time travel fan, but also because it was SPECTACULAR.

Ryan Gosling as K in Blade Runner 2049, specifically from the scene where Joi tells him, “You look lonely. I could fix that.”
A recreation of a screencap of Ryan Gosling in Blade Runner 2049, complete with pink neon lighting and a hollow expression
I had a very Blade Runner Halloween this year 🌃
Well don't I feel stupid
His relationship with Anya does a staggering amount of work toward making me like him episode to episode
Elliott and Rossio one time talked to me about the notion of "distant mountains" as a way to do this kind of thing. It's fine to show distant mountains without actually going to them or even pointing them out. The audience sees them and if they want to imagine what's there, they can.
20 years ago today, ‘SKY HIGH’ released in theaters.
Looking through the #SDCC schedule has me chomping at the bit, we’re so back.
Actually, they are different! Face cream is designed for the more sensitive skin of your face, and hand cream is heavier duty.
So we just finished the campaign, and is it crazy to say that *actually* may have been my favorite character I’ve ever played? And he’s not even mine?
Happy birthday! 🥳🎉
I’m playing in an Isekai-style ttrpg campaign with various fictional characters (Kermit, Professor McGonagall, etc); I made my PC Syril from Andor, and this may be my favorite character I’ve ever played. He’s truly horrible. And he has to work with like, cartoon characters.
A hatchling condor on a white towel. it has downy feathers and it's head skin is kinda wrinkly
With everything LA has gone through in the last few months (and couple of years), let's celebrate the hatching of:
TEN CALIFORNIA CONDORS!!!!!!!!!
Congrats to the team at the Los Angeles Zoo!!!
This is why the gradual erasing of every superhero’s secret identity is a net negative for comics.
Superhero stories need secret IDs and supporting characters who aren’t heroes. Otherwise the world soon has the depth of a kiddie pool
Happy Father’s Day to my amazing dad! I still hold this opinion.
You fight for a zygote, but cheer when a child is ripped from a mother‘s arms by ICE.
Tells me everything I need to know about you.
Just finished Lower Decks! Baby’s first Star Trek. It’s tragic it’s taken me so long to get to it.
Watching Star Trek TOS for the first time! Wild to see where it all began.
Our double feature is finished! Slow start, but the second half of M:I8 plus Thunderbolts made for a fun finish.
I have a head canon that Andor takes place inside the star wars universe. there's so many subtle nods to it that I think the writers must have done that on purpose.
Going to play dnd for the first time in over two months, and it feels like going home. Listening to my character playlist on the commute—I’ve missed this.
I rewatched it after finishing Andor, for synergy.
Doing a double feature on Monday—matinee Mission: Impossible, then Thunderbolts immediately after. Suffice it to say, I’m not leaving that theater until the sun sets.
In a vintage hotel hallway, a blonde woman wears a white regency dress with champagne-colored accents.
A statue made with blooming white flowers made to resemble Elizabeth Bennet.
A woman, dressed in regency clothes with hair styling resembling Elizabeth Bennet’s pearl look, watches a line of dancers in similar regency dress.
An elaborate crystal chandelier in front of a nighttime window.
I went to the Pride and Prejudice 20th Anniversary Ball last night, and it was absolutely stunning. @focusfeatures.bsky.social put on a real show—wish I could relive it!
Watching the Lower Decks season one finale was just me nodding like, yep, that’s a cameo. I do not know the significance. But I know it’s a cameo.
In a bit of a strange move, I’ve started watching Star Trek: Lower Decks because it’s a good comp for a spec. This is the very first Star Trek I’ve ever consumed. And honestly? I’m really digging it.
A LEGO minifigure with yellow skin, a smiling female face with glasses, a swoopy blonde pixie cut, a blue zip-up sweater, and gray pants. She’s carrying a metallic blue lightsaber. Beside her stands a small LEGO BB-8.
Updated my minifig with a Star Wars theme in honor of Andor 🫡
A skeleton dressed in 18th-century pale blue clothing with balloon sleeves. The clothing and the skeleton are covered in multi-colored jewels. It is also wearing a jeweled crown with a ruby at the center. The photo is by Paul Koudounaris from his book, HEAVENLY BODIES.
This jeweled skeleton comes from the Waldsassen Basilika in Germany, the “Sistine Chapel of Death.” Skilled nuns, or occasionally monks, dressed the skeletons in elaborate 18th-century clothing and then covered them with jewels.

Still one of the coolest shots in a franchise of cool shots.
I watched it immediately following the finale, and I was struck by the same feelings. The Bix pregnancy also complicates the way I feel about Jyn and Cassian’s relationship—the first time I watched Rogue One, I saw it as “what could have been.” But now we know he has a kid back home.
Googled to see if the Andor scripts have been released and instead found an Andor spec script. Truly gutted that I didn’t consider that possibility until it was too late. Worse—a season two spec script would be SO much fun to write.
