Hello I made a 24-word TTRPG if you'd like to play it.
Hello I made a 24-word TTRPG if you'd like to play it.
Now that I live in South-West Sydney, I know the whole "Red Rooster is the chicken of Western Sydney" thing was invented by fools who never went West of Paddington.
The real chicken of the West is FRANGO.
It shouldn't be called a spare tyre, it should be called a spare wheel because it's an entire wheel, not just the rubber part (the tyre). The ambiguity created confidence in me and I nearly ordered a replacement tyre myself to put on my car until my brother-in-law who is a smart man corrected me.
Off to the shops on Christmas Eve. Pray for me.
I keep getting followers on Threads, according to Instagram. I don't think I've ever been on Threads. Do I have a Thread? Is that what it's called?
Guys wait holy shit his name is actually "Joe Blow".
Also don't call him that.
My son turned 1 today. Not everyone who wants to be a parent gets to be, and I have got to be that twice. I'm lucky to be their dad.
Child: Dad, let's play NERF wars! I love you.
Games Academic: I DON'T PLAY STABBY SHOOTIES.
As an Australian, I think we are about to get the best goddamn wave of young cybersecurity experts ;)
The big ticket pressies are always from us, with much smaller, almost tokenistic presents from Santa. This is working so far.
So...yeah, Santa will. But he won't be bringing them that Spider-Man toy, right?
And from our windows are trees and waving neighbours, not blocks of buildings.
It isn't perfect. Nothing is. But I'll just keep spinning Ms Moni and Iron Maiden and narrating each bridge if it means my kids can grow up with some grass and room. Not everyone gets to make that call. I'm lucky I can.
And now? My wife, who has a much shorter commute now, is home, relaxed and ready for us all to be together, not still recovering from a mad drive.
And now we are paying our mortgage, not someone else's. and I can hear the neighbourhood kids playing, not some pisshead screaming about his ex-wife. 3/
The morning is spent having breakfast now, not rushing to get to daycare in time for their breakfast and beating the gridlock traffic. The trip home is a long decompress where we sing, listen to stories, and talk about everything we see. 2/
For reasons, I've just traded a 20-40 min commute for one that averages about an 1h10m. With my toddler and infant (daycare at my work).
It's a big scary change, but oddly better? We still leave at the same time, I just start a bit later. Still working out pick-up and how to wrangle that. But 1/
Bookmarking to buy and play when I can. Gonna go in blind just based on your post and see what's up.
And maybe like...at least CONSIDER First Nations actors for Bishop?
Men who won't clean up dirty nappies are not men. Little boy needing your wife to do it? FOAD.
Yeah but then I remember Dead Static Overdrive exists.
But like...who is this for?! Why does this exist? Are there people who want to watch this movie that are upset by swearing? I don't understand.
i think this picture, from a public promo stream for a video games starring one of the most popular comic book characters of all time owned by the disney corporation, should be used on every single story about storefronts taking down lgbt content
Did you know in America there are versions of movies where they change the "bad words" before playing them on TV? Like, movies for adults. They cut out the swearing.
"...an emerging field of research that seeks to determine whether AI is conscious..." is a statement so wrong I can't begin to unpack. If you can't take the time to engage with a slither of the AI research across the arts & sciences over the years you should not be touching this topic. Read a book.
As a Kojima Tragic, it is telling seeing the change from MGS4 when he stopped working with Tomokazu Fukushima and took more control.
Fukushima also wrote the spin off games (Ghost Babel, Ac!d and Ac!d 2), as well as Snake Tales. If you haven't played them I'd recommend it - especially Ac!d 2.
This is very true in higher ed. Many parts of Unis are pushing AI with the argument that students "want to use it".
And...yes, some do. But most really, really don't. And are devastated at the idea staff would use it.
It was great! Chucked in some spices and my daughter yummed it up. Going into the weekly rotation. Thank you!
Gonna try this tomorrow. Thank you!
This sounds like a good hack. Do you just set it up as if you were just cooking rice normally? And the veg steams/boils inside?
Chickpea burrito bowls!
We were a community! A real internet!
Dude. My thesis was about "AI Literature" but that was like...digital Oulipo and shit. Weird little folks making weird little algorithms that make weird little poems. Kathy Acker shit. The GPT explosion was...painful.
