RE6's only real failure is in directing the player. Playing it as though it's 4 or 5, it comes off as a worse version of those. But if you use everything it offers—sprinting, diving, rolling, shooting from the floor, quick shots, parries, and so on—it reveals itself as a technician's playground. ❤

I'd heard of YRC in Xrd, but tonight I learned what it's used for, specifically. And I'm just beside myself. You skip the character making the projectile come out, but it still comes out by itself? Were they serious with this? It looks like a bug. This is the game? Oh, well~ ❤

It's the header for my "Nintendo Switch 2025 Year in Review," with two counter-scrolling marquees of game icons. It says I played 9 games for 85 hours. But that isn't enough games to fill out the marquee, so there's a comical repetition of icons for things like the Nintendo Switch Online apps; The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, which I loaded two or three times in trying to get through the first scene of the first game without getting distracted; and R-Gear, a one-stage demo of a cancelled Taito arcade shmup.

My top three most-played Switch games of 2025: 1. The Game Boy app (51 hours) 2. The Super NES app (22 hours) 3. The Japanese Game Boy app (10 hours)

Just finished an Archipelago with Faye. Deep into Super Metroid with no Charge Beam, I thought I might have just enough missiles not to soft-lock on Ridley, so I just gave it a shot. Then, during the fight, Faye found me Plasma Beam and Charge Beam, back to back. Clutchest save since the baby. ❤
