A council candidate w a strong transpo platform (capping freeways!) and who loves basketball as much as I do and holds his launch party at the coolest hooper store in the city. Sign me up!!
(Also note my basketball court advocacy shout-out in his speech! ๐คฃ๐๐ฏ๐)
Our campaign launch party yesterday touched on a lot of things - living wages, adaptive leadership, truly safe streets, a city no longer divided by its interstates. This clip touches on some of that.
We can do this. Tonight, I am humbly asking for your $5 donation at mullen4pdx.com
Welcome home ๐๐
As long as it's BANANA queasy..!
NOOO!! But also yay for impromptu community!!
Banana puke. That's the good news. Gotta take the small victories ๐
A little good news / bad news with the bad news first: the baby puked on everything juuuuust as she was drifting to sleep. Her sleep sack, clothes, sheets, the whole deal.
Good news: the last thing she ate was a banana, so the vomit smelled WONDERFUL
Is it extreme to say if you go 125mph with a baby in the car, you lose the baby for a period of time and go to jail for a WHILE? We shouldn't accept reckless endangerment just because it was done in a car.
I have said before and will say again: the City will lose its leverage to ensure the team pays (at least PART of) its fair share once the City IDs and commits its part of the funding. In my view, the City needs to do right by taxpayers and take advantage of that opportunity.
hey chat, what's 2012 + 30
...look what my wife surprised me with when I got home..!
Thanks ya'll so much. It really did mean a lot for us to be there tonight. Thank you.
Had a little get together for @brandonmullen.bsky.social tonight! Great times, and great people! ๐ #ripcity #portland
A picture of a small crowd inside Back to the Basket, a basketball and culture shop in inner SE Portland.
It was an incredible honor to see so many of you tonight at our campaign launch party. Thank you to Back to the Basket for hosting, and a special thanks to my team who is making this all possible!
A better Portland is inevitable. Y'all are working too hard for it not to be.
ICYMI, I spent a few hours answering a bunch of really thoughtful questions, and the thread now has over 115 comments! PHEW! If you were interested in more specifics about my policy positions, experience, or my approach to governance, you should take a look:

Here's the AMA... get in there and ask stuff!! reddit.com/r/Portland/c...?
I cannot tell you how hyped I am that we get to hold this thing at BTTB. It was my first, second, and third choice, and it's going to be super fun ๐
Very thankful to Hollywood Impress Printing for all their help and the incredible final quality of the printing they did for some stickers, small signs, and this sign we got for events this year! If you need a union printer who is willing to go above and beyond to help you, think of them ๐จ ๐ธ
Every reasonable person should pick an office to run for and do it. We'd be in a better spot if elected office were seen as a temporary but inevitable civic responsibility like jury duty.
hwat in tarnation...
OK, the apology demand is still ON
I am doing an AMA (ask me anything) on the Portland subreddit at 6pm this Wednesday March 4! Set an alert/reminder and pop in to ask a question, I will be there for 90 minutes or so (and will try to answer subsequent questions after)!

Upon further reflection and cooling off for a bit, maybe they know I like disc golf and have been dabbling with soccer. Perhaps I was too hasty to rush to judgement and I am a sports bro after all..!
I learned today that someone called me "a sports bro" who is "very, very [politically] lefty."
To that I say: how dare you.
I love basketball. I don't watch football or baseball. I'm obviously a basketball bro. Not a sports bro.
Apologize. NOW.
There have been a handful of amendments to this bill, but at its core it's the same: taxes generated from those in and around Moda will be diverted from the General fund into an "Arena Fund." Required commitment from County and City, but not from the Blazers.
...no but fuck it we ride
I'll split it with you if you go halfsies with me ๐
Me? I'm just a dad making baby formula in the Deschutes Brewery bathroom
I didn't record the ride there, but there were some moments - like when the bike lane on Hwy. 30 disappeared into a right-turn lane at the merge with I-205 with traffic going 40+ mph - that had me feeling in danger like Ralph Wiggum.
