3/ But we CANNOT have a candidate where the opposition literally just has to point at them and say "He's a Nazi, look at the tattoo." There are still some standards for candidates, at least in the Democratic party.
2/ It's not forgivable or ignorable for a political candidate. I think most of us are tired of Democratic candidates, who unless they have a literally perfect resume from 4th grade hall monitor to Harvard Law, are nitpicked for trivial reasons.
