In 1948 Vogue recreated that drawing with live models. I prefer the original illustration, but it goes to show how well remembered the 1903 original was.
Also -- the early 20th century was a golden age of Size.
Pictured here is a modern reprint overlaid on the original.

I put The SCRREW Manifesto up for this as it was the only thing I had that was short enough for the max word count. I was tempted to do an Author's Preferred Text of 'Anguish of the Fifty-Foot Woman' for it but it was twice as long as was permitted. Anyway. Proud to be the opener for Small Print 3!

The actor who played Isis also appeared in a couple episodes of the live action Spider-Man that aired in 70s primetime. I remember REALLY wanting her to be the same character in SM and it turning into a crossover.
No matter how much time I spend researching Size, there are always surprises.
Photographer Hubert Toyot was active in the adult industry from the 60s to at least the 80s. I'm not sure if he collaged this saucy chick onto the sandwich but he did take her photo.

Subbing Captain Marvel for Supes made sense. So does Sivana for Lex. Black Canary replaced WW in the JLA earlier in the decade, but didn't have a signature villain. I can see the powers-that-be picking a random lady villain out of a hat to face her and Huntress.
