Yesterday, the NTSB released an investigative update on the crash of UPS 2976. Materials analysis showed fatigue cracking within the engine pylon spherical bearing assembly. Similar failures occurred on four assemblies on three aircraft prior to 2011. www.flightradar24.com/blog/flight-...

KLM will begin flying the Boeing 787 to St. Maarten (SXM).
The airline’s new AMS-SXM-GEO-AMS routing will use a 2x weekly 787-9 starting June 4 (operating Wednesdays and Saturdays)
Flight KL789 will arrive in SXM at 12:40 PM and depart to GEO at 2:10 PM.

It has a been a busy week!! Faro x2, Jersey & Geneva, Belfast & Amsterdam and an Athens.
The highlights were seeing an A340-600 in Amsterdam and a Boeing 737-400 in Geneva. The Athens was meant to be a Berlin, with my first flight on our A321NEO as crew, I was not impressed.

19001! Repainted into Stripes a while ago. Moved to Manchester for the last day, before Bee Network. Now preserved at the Manchester Museum of Transport I believe!
New trains for Northern: The operator has invited Alstom, CAF, Hitachi, Siemens & Stadler to bid for the first phase of its new trains programme, which will see the 150s, 155s & 156s replaced. A contract is due to be awarded next year with the first new trains in service by 2030.
Only reason I popped out as I had to see it to believe it 😂
