I did need a not-awful thing! I’ve never seen a porcupine in the wild.
I feel like a time of transition is happening in my life. I want to be optimistic, but it’s kind of scary when things change.
It’s raining and there’s some far off thunder. I have a cozy blanket, a hat to knit, snacks, and a glass of wine. It’s very cozy and I’m savoring the moment.
It’s one of those things it’s easy to forget feels good though. If I get out of the habit even for a short time, it’s work to get back to it. Probably true for thinking too.

When I first started my business, and SEO was just becoming a thing, I had a client who was running my stuff through some kind of SEO checker type thing without telling me. He was SHOCKED that each piece scored super high. Good writing results in good SEO. #FreelanceFriends
This is a problem I have. Who gets to define "buzz"? It's kind of like the whole em dash/AI thing. Just because a bunch of other people use a word doesn't make it a bad word to use. At the same time, I don't want to sound like everyone else. #FreelanceFriends

I give them all away! I kept one of the really early ones that was made on the wrong needles so has a weird shape, and this one doesn't have a taker yet. It's so much fun. People tend to like the ones with pompoms most.

I’m working on my 18th hat (I think - it could be 17th) of the year. I’ve given all but one away. I think I’ll keep this one for myself.

This weekend I'm going to see a high school play (Aladdin) because my cousin is in it. Then I'm having my favorite kids visit for a sleepover. Sunday there'll be a family dinner - well, an outdoor gathering with food - and more cousins around and a fire. I'm going to laugh a lot.

I played around with this a little bit because of a new thing I'm offering. I haven't liked the quotes that AI chooses. They are fine, but not the best ones. If I paid for a subscription & did more training, the results might be better. #FreelanceFriends

Today there was sunshine, gardening, a nice meal, listening to a kid read from a babysitter’s club graphic novel, knitting, a visit with my dad, flute-playing, a Duolingo Spanish lesson, a hot shower, some Olympics-watching, and soon some reading. Good self care!
Seems at least as good as introducing two people who become a couple!
