In a snowy valley a warmly dressed figure offers a helping hand to another, reptilian, bleeding figure on the ground. Behind them in the snow is a trail through the snow, tracing the path of the downed figure tumbling down a hill, strewing their belongings across the slope before coming to a rest. A the top of the hill there are more figures, a sled and pack beasts looking down and readying ropes. In the path of the rope is the snowprints showing the helping hand's path down into the valley.
"It was quite the spill you took there."
A central corridor in an office building is ablaze and filled with smoke. Two "firefighters" in black and neon yellow uniforms are accompanied by flying drones shining spotlights on their work. In the back, in a thick, heat resistant suit, one of these figures heaves a massive glowing axe towards a door they are breaking down. In the foreground the other wields a large, heavy flamethrower that they are using to blast fire off to the right of frame.
The previously described illustration inset into a Weyland Netrunner card called "Sacrifice Zone Expansion".
The third of my three #Netrunner #VantagePoint cards was Sacrifice Zone Expansion.
Really fun challenge to figure out this lighting set-up and design our "firefighters", here.
Sorry I'm not more open-minded about LLMs, it's just some fucking maniacs shoveled out a bunch of useless bloatware featuring that technology, did not give me any chance to opt out, reorganized the entire economy around it, zeroed out gains made by green energy, and made it impossible to buy RAM

Also, sorry to keep going but game writers, I need you all to ban having a character name something in the game and having the next character go "[name], huh? That has a nice ring to it."
Battlechef Brigade had a bit of this, too, but that was game about a cooking competition, so it felt a little more in line with the genre that everyone is friends. I'm 2/3s of the way through a mecha story and not one named character has died or even expressed anger that wasn't immediately diffused.
Update: I have encountered Hanako's ex-girlfriends and there is no drama, even there. Why is no one stressed out or emotionally messy in this game about an existential threat to humanity? Everyone is "I understand you and you are loved and now we are the found family" to everyone else.
Still enjoying myself with the gameplay and especially the art of Battle Suit Aces, but I think the sauce in the crew is not there. Everyone is too... nice? Everyone gets along. There's no friction and even the admiralty is your friend. I feel like it's missing a huge aspect of mecha fiction.
Amberspire, our dice driven science fantasy city builder, will release MAY 6!
Roll dice, grow a city, forge alliances, interact with an ecology, and read a history of the future.

A modified carousel slide projector sits in a sliver of sun coming in through the window on a table covered in vintage photography equipment. The projector points towards a projector screen, with strange holographic windows of information popping up in the light.

The second of my 3 #VantagePoint cards for #Netrunner is Touchstone, as I inadvertently become the cluttered desk guy.
A screenshot from Battle Suit Aces. A shot from inside a dumpster full of trash, Daciana looks inside with a tool over her shoulder, looking in at the biggest piece of trash: a man that looks exactly like Paptimus Scirocco from Zeta Gundam.
Been enjoying how bite-sized by sessions with Battle Suit Aces have been able to be. Enjoying myself a good deal, but definitely popped finding Paptimus Scirocco in a fucking dumpster. All my homies throw Paptimus Scirocco in a dumpster.
here's "Hunting Dog", the latest track from @friends-table.bsky.social's season of Realis notquitereal.bandcamp.com/track/huntin...
Really incredible "tweedle-ooo"s in this one.
Reminder that Microsoft is one of the biggest forces behind GenAI "adoption" on top of funding and wildly profiting from the continued genocide in Gaza, it seems like games media has forgotten this

FYI for fellow narrative designers/game writers: the studio in question is Sentona Games and it’s my understanding they are currently interviewing to replace me. Be very careful with them. They were very nice to me and easy to work with right up until I needed the money I was promised.

On a workbench sits a long needle unfolding into a mess of wires and cybernetic parts. The table is covered in bundles of yarn. There is a half eaten piece of Mandarine Schmandkuchen.

Happy #VantagePoint release day for #Netrunner.
Tungsten Tailor was the first card I ever illustrated for Netrunner. I'll be posting my other cards over the next couple days.
👍
New stuff up on my Patreon for both my $5 tier around Tungsten Tailor, and my $1 tier comparing sketches an finals on my Mourningstar art.

That's awesome! Glad I can be an artist to get excited about.
This year's stream is over now, but don't worry! You can still support PCRF by purchasing our bundle for another 11 days (itch.io/b/3531/roll-...) and you can view the stream VODs on our YouTube channel at youtube.com/@rollplusbon...
Very funny watching the spoiler video on this get hyper-focused on the fork. 😆 Clarification from the artist: it's a fork. It's designed after the standard IKEA dinner fork, which has a very thick handle and overall design.
The cake is Mandarine Schmandkuchen, as requested by the NSG team.
if you’re cis and you don’t get it this is LITERAL TORTURE
it will result in dead trans people
and with their other goal of making us “sexually explicit” for existing
you see the pipeline right?
we exist -> we’re jailed for it -> we’re tortured and die
WE NEED YOU TO STOP THIS
