That one and the ice-cream eating one are tied as faves for me.
Each image of Blobbert in that cover is more endearing than the last, and I've been round them all at least twice!
A quick mock cover for my new book I came up with last night!
My best friend Blobbert who ate everything!

Happy uuuh wacky woohoo Mar10 day and stuff. π
A ten panel comic, which starts with Mario in a go-kart, dramatically rounding a corner toward us. The left side of the kart raises off the road, as it drifts. 2nd p: a closeup over the shoulder shot of Mario, as he approaches the finish line. 3rd p: We pull right back to a wide, side-on shot. Mario on the left of frame, the finish line on the right. 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th ps: The 7th panel is the same wide shot as before, with Mario closing in on the line. The 4th-thru-6th panels float on top, showing revealing in sequence a close up, a medium shout, and panned back view of a fast approaching blueshell. In the 7th panel, the blue shell shoots past the finish line, and comes back around toward a panicked Mario. It leaves a wave of energy, tearing up the road in its wake. Ps 8,9,10: Panels 8 & 9 show a grassy hill in the foreground, with a blue sky filled with large fluffy clouds. Panel 10, the calm is disturbed when a flaming wheel bounces into the scene.
Quick little #marioday doodle between drawing comic panels.
Might work this up more at a later date.

Meet Blobbert!
Blobbert is such a precious little slime and must be protected at all cost!

Is BlueSky being particularly janky today? It's crashed on me five times this morning, posted a quote repost while I was halfway through writing it and even bizarrely opened another post five times recursively.
Is it my elderly old phone, or just this app having a nervous breakdown?
In a week where I've been struggling to produce a longer than normal episode of my own comic, this is what I needed to read to motivate me to get it finished today!

Got no problem with the autumn time change, but for spring, we should do it at 2 p.m. on a Friday so everybody just gets to leave work and school a little early instead of losing an hour of sleep.
A closely guarded secret, we may never truly know which might be true. But a lot can change in twenty years... They all got a lot more chest and less neck for example π

(Beartato and Reginald, in a museum, gaze upon the Mona Lisa) BEARTATO: There it is. The Mona Lisa. The most famous painting in history. REGINALD: Wow! What's it do? BEARTATO: It... what? REGINALD: Why's it famous? What's it do? (Beartato thinks.) BEARTATO: I don't know. REGINALD (to nearly museum employee): Excuse me! Sir? What's it do? EMPLOYEE: You're the first person to ask! Watch this! (The employee yanks a pull-string. Mona Lisa's eyes spin around and her mouth opens like a puppet) MONA LISA: Honk honk! Honk honk! (Everyone is delighted. This is true art.)

Quackers comic 09-27-06 Panel 1: Jason is sat on an examination table in Dr Quackman's office looking nervous. The doctor stands opposite and says "Look, if you're feeling nervous about the examination I think I have something that could help you relax." Panel 2: "That would be great, doc," replies Jason, wiping sweat from him brow. "I guess I am feeling a little jittery." The doctor turns away and bends down to retrieve something unseen. "I should have just the think right here..." he mutters. Panel 3: Jason looks petrified as the doctor turns back around. "Meet Dr Steve!" cries Dr Quackman, now brandishing a duck puppet on his hand, dressed in green scrubs. "Go on, say hi!" adds the doctor. "S'up." says the puppet extending a hand.
For those reading Quackers that weren't around for Dr Quackman's first appearance 20(!) years ago, here's a little look at a strip from way back when he was introduced.

Sorry I'm not more open-minded about LLMs, it's just some fucking maniacs shoveled out a bunch of useless bloatware featuring that technology, did not give me any chance to opt out, reorganized the entire economy around it, zeroed out gains made by green energy, and made it impossible to buy RAM

Quackers comic 03-04-25 Panel 1: Jason is sat in Dr Quackman's examination room, perched atop an examination table. The good doctor stands beside him, brandishing his reflex hammer. "OK," begins the doctor, "I'm just going to give you a little tap on the knee to test your reflexes." Panel 2: Dr Quackman lightly taps Jason on the knee with the hammer. Tom looks on, curiously, arms behind his back. Panel 3: Jason's leg jolts up with a 'sproing', his foot connecting with Tom in a most unfortunate place with a loud 'THWACK'. Tom winces. Panel 4: Tom is now doubled up on the floor, one hoof barely propping himself up on the edge of the examination table. He looks suitably troubled. Jason grabs his beak, horrified at what he's accidentally done. Dr Quackman is now stood behind the prone figure of Tom. "Yes, reflex testing is much like lighting fireworks..." he says. "You do so at arms length, and be prepared to run out of harm's way!"
Critical Hit! π₯
