It’s the first rogue like I’ve ever played. The idea never really interested me, but the gameplay loop is pretty fun, and the writing is fantastic.

There’s new dialogue almost every time you do a run, and the character banter is delightful.

I picked it up during the last sale, and just got the DLC yesterday.

It’s a really fun game.

Oof! This was easily the worst of the Avatar novels I’ve read.

There’s really good character stuff, but the writing is flat and the story is too thin to justify a 350 page novel.

It would probably make a good comic, but as is it’s a dull slog.
