I cannot stress enough how amazing Ash’s timing was with AI coding agents. Its design is absolutely perfect for building apps with tools like Claude that don’t ever get tired and just code things the right way. The DSL for attributes, relationships, actions, policies, aggregates, etc make the agent’s job almost feel effortless. Policy enforcement specifically has been bonkers easy and so utterly powerful. Drink the kool aid!

Your jobs table isn't a domain model. @zachdaniel.dev shows durable workloads with AshFramework, AshStateMachine, and AshOban.
Model work as state, not tasks.

Note to myself:

Life is too short to waste with null pointer exceptions, undefined is not a function, ...

Just use Elm for the frontend.

I was under the misunderstanding that Zed used Expert LSP for Elixir by default. With the RC coning out and my shit being terribly broken as it almost always has been I looked closer and found the settings.

Now my shit works again. Did tou know ctrl+click is pretty great? #elixirlang

A ten vzrůst efektivity! Osoba A prostrednictvím LLM vybleje dlouhý (jako skutečně desítky markdownů) text, což by ji jinak trvalo strasně dlouho, a osoba B prostřednictvím LLM text zkrátí (na jiný, než měla A, ale to zanedbejme), což by ji jinak trvalo také strašně dlouho.

The reason why RAM has become four times more expensive is that a huge amount of RAM that has not yet been produced was purchased with non-existent money to be installed in GPUs that also have not yet been produced, in order to place them in data centers that have not yet been built, powered by infrastructure that may never appear, to satisfy demand that does not actually exist and to obtain profit that is mathematically impossible

Zero Trust Auth for Plug/Phoenix apps is here - Dashbit Blog We have just released `nimble_zta`, a library that allows developers to add Zero Trust Auth (ZTA) to their Plug/Phoenix web apps

Via @josevalim.bsky.social:

"We extracted Nimble ZTA (Zero Trust Auth) from Livebook as a separate package for Plug/Phoenix [...] to add auth to an internal app when your identity management and deployments are on the same platform (GCP/Cloudflare/etc)"

If you've been meaning to give Zed a spin during the slower season, now's the time. Use code ZEDSEASON at checkout for $15 in LLM spend on us. Limited supply, valid through Dec 31.

Already using Zed? Share this with someone who needs a nudge.

The Erlang Ecosystem Foundation CNA now publishes vulnerability data directly to OSV.dev. No more relying solely on CVE→OSV conversion.

This update means faster, cleaner, and higher-quality security data for the BEAM ecosystem — including Erlang, Elixir, Gleam, and Hex.pm.

Elixir → JavaScript Porting Initiative

Elixir → JavaScript Porting Initiative

Hey Elixir friends! :)
We need help completing Elixir's browser runtime by porting some Erlang functions to JavaScript.
No Erlang knowledge required. Each function unlocks multiple Elixir stdlib functions!

Need help? My first steps with Hugo were also pretty painful, but built 15+ webs with it in last couple years, some with not-so-common features and Hugo was able to handle.
