Yesterday, I had the pleasure to present our ongoing work on the long-term costs of growing up in a single parent family at @wzb.bsky.social. Thank you @hannahzagel.bsky.social for the invitation. We had a great discussion about the mechanisms behind cross-national variation.
From my desk at TU Dortmund today, I feel motivated and uplifted - which is a rare moment in this field but also what fuels me to do this job against repeated rejections, frustration, and feeling like the work never materializes. This is a reminder (for myself, first! ) that the sun always rises.
