University's first Chancellor to step down after seven years After seven years as the first Chancellor of the University of Suffolk, writer, academic and women’s rights activist Dr Helen Pankhurst CBE is to step down from the ceremonial role.

It’s been such an honour to serve as the 1st Chancellor of the University of Suffolk @UniofSuffolk. Looking forward to handing over to @zebsoanes in October.
