Yellow for Palmer for holding Saka on a break but absolutely zero consequences for Saliba rugby tackling Joao Pedro in the box?!?! The use of the commentator phrase βNot enough in it for meβ is now the second most maddening phrase in #football after βVAR is going to have a look at thatββ¦

Pauline Hanson has spent decades demonising Muslims in the Senate with zero consequences, but put an anti-fascist poster on your bar wall and the AFP comes knocking. Labor's first scalp under their hate speech laws isn't a hate group and that says everything.

Two frames. 1. Lib Party Room, members huddled around table, one says βWe have no policies, no principles, no vision, no credibility, no gravitas, no consistency, no popular appealβ¦β 2. Same scene, another says, βYouβre right - Angus Taylor is the leader who best represents us.β

The Liberal's death spiral began in 2007 when Howard lost govt & his own seat & Costello piked out. Between 2013 & 2019 they were on life support, with News Corp operating the defibrillator. Morrison & esp Dutton proved they had lost all relevance. With Ley and Taylor we've entered the zombie era.

hard to overstate how typical it is to open the newsfeed or switch on the radio or TV/ABC and hear white males who were not there talking to white males who were not there dominating the discourse. This is completely routine in my personal 56 years lifetime experience in Australia.
The simple fact is that we have too many executives (effectively 3 SDs plus a few more with defined roles) so they're eating up other roles because fundamentally you don't need 2 people to do their jobs so the only way they can keep employed is like this.
It's executive dysfunction.
Some of our staff were at the Sydney rally last night and report that the degree of police brutality was terrifying and unhinged.
This is a pretty good report by the ABC (relatively) in which the official lies are obvious to anyone not invested in believing offical lies. Minns is a skilled caster-of-doubt aka liar.
There will be no meaningful investigation of the police & that should appal us.

We knew from the moment we heard it that βsocial cohesionβ would be one of those Orwellian terms which would be used to cover all manner of state sanctioned abuse and deprivation of civic freedoms.
It fuels the very unrest it pretends to seek to quell.
Video shows a man pinned to the ground as Australian police strike him repeatedly during an arrest. The man appears already subdued as blows continue. The incident occurred at protests in Sydney against Israeli President Isaac Herzog.
