A checklist, completed:

Finalize new flow

As the king of whimsy clearly what you gotta do is something fun and silly that is Not A Joke! Lean into the chaos! e.g. with Fujocoded we delight and confuse our supporters by creating a product that makes them go "wAIT, I can actually buy this??" e.g. this year bsky.app/profile/fujo...

Traditional illustration of Gustopher, the ATmosphere Conference mascot, and the Untitled Goose Game goose, in black marker. Untitled Goose perches on Gustopher's back, holding a flower in their beak. Gustopher looks up at them, surprised and delighted.
Bonus pencil illustration of Gustopher and Untitled Goose, so tiny and cute, standing beak to beak in a lil bird smooch. A heart above their heads emphasizes their love and affection for each other.
It's about love and hope! Some drawings I made while listening to @kissane.bsky.social brilliant talk #ATmosphereconf (thank you @elendraug.bsky.social for the alt text π)

programmers are always posting like "worked on tracking down an issue with a Flurble deployment for twelve hours. the problem wasn't in Flurble at all - it was in the Gumbies install. It turns out if you install Gumbies 3.0 over Gumbies 2.7 and don't do a cache flush on all the client spiders they'll get stuck in the crystal maze." then you look up Gumbies and the site is one of those scroll scroll scroll types
with one sentence per page, like "GUMBIES is a lean, expressive sharding sandcube for testing and deploying large scale
Woodchips playgrounds. GUMBIES automates and streamlines away watersliding phases, meaning your team can
get right to the chipping. See why Microsoft, OpenAl and Bloingo have embraced GUMBIES in their Woodchips
workflows." and you get to the bottom and you're like I
want this I guess but I still don't know what
This is my entire life

Bite Size Command Line, by Julia Evans - Command line terms illustrated with colourful drawings of foods, such as a tart for βtarβ and grapes for βgrepβ.
been reading a lot of comments today about how people find man pages hard to read and it made me mad (why do they have to be so hard!)
so I'm giving away 300 copies of Bite Size Command Line to folks for whom $12 is a lot of money! (with code BUYONEGIVEONE)

I like the way Josh does it in CSS for JavaScript Developers, where the playground will show the exercise-relevant CSS in a style tag together with the HTML and the irrelevant CSS in a different file/tab. I hate hate hate when I can't quickly see/distinguish the out-of-scope CSS

If I was smarter I would have checked the website I'm coding periodically in different browsers and devices, but arriving at the end and realizing Chrome looks *very* different from Firefox is more fun. It is. I'm telling myself that. Shhhh

I started with apache then switched to nginx because there's more guides but I don't know enough about networks, linux or DNS to know what instructions are relevant to me (since I don't want the sites to be reachable through the open internet, this is just so I can look at them in bed from my phone)

The goal is to host a couple of static websites and instead of accessing them through localhost being able to do nice domain names like ria dot notes and ria dot art; no PHP or databases for now
my biggest downfall so far is not backing up config files before editing them i think π
