It's that time of day where I start daydreaming about writing a queer fantasy romance book ☺️

On a walk around #Conwy yesterday, I spotted something I hadn't noticed before. This magnificent #Gothic railway arch, built in 1840, through the #Medieval walls. It even continues the castellated parapet! Zoom in, and you can see where bits were chipped away as trains got bigger! #photograph #photo

Three panel comic. Panel 1: a giant squid wearing a yellow Bart t-shirt and some terrible hypebeast shorts is looking in the mirror. It says, “need groceries… but all my clothes are in the laundry.” Panel 2: the squid, now also wearing hot pink crocs, exits its apartment and says, “eh. I won’t see anyone.” Panel 3: two fisherman are pulling the squid to the surface of the water and pointing at it. An overlayed news caption reads: RARE SQUID SIGHTED - the fit was crazy

It's been more than a year since I posted. I have been doing a lot of parenting and working and writing and cooking. Things are going okay!
Several boats are decorated with Christmas lights in anticipation of a boat light parade in the inlet.
The South Kitsap High School Orchestra quartet performs in a cozy interior space.
A view of the event on Bay Streer with many families walking around in the cold street between the buildings. Christmas trees and lights line the street.
The Kitsap Community Chorale sings Christmas carols on a large, decorated stage with mountains and the bay behind them.
We went to Holiday on the Bay in Port Orchard yesterday. It was a good time!
A view from a pier in Manchester, WA on the Puget Sound. In the far distance is Mt. Rainier with lots of wispy clouds surrounding it. The water is clear and blue and there are green trees on the islands that separate the sky from the water.
Went on a very tiny adventure through a parking lot when I went to the local library to print some documents. Got some beautiful views of the Puget Sound, Seattle, Mt. Rainier, and a few islands.
Interior view of the Seattle Christmas Market featuring a huge number of Christmas trees, lots of lights, many green and red picnic tables, plenty of people eating holiday food.
A view from Elliott Bay in Seattle featuring a Washington State Ferry and the Seattle skyline including the Space Needle. It’s a clear and sunny day despite looking chilly.
Went to the Seattle Christmas Market yesterday and just generally enjoyed the amazing weather the family!
We made our most complex Thanksgiving dinner ever just the three of us.
Infrared-fried turkey, two kinds of stuffing, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, deviled eggs, rolls, and a pumpkin pie.
Making cookies for the neighbors tonight so we can introduce ourselves tomorrow!
I think I still prefer the death by messages than death by email. I feel like my inbox is where things go to sit and my chat I can keep relatively up-to-date!
Mostly just transitioning some things from batch campaigns to nurture series because at some point they stopped being batch campaigns and became regular things. You know... the best kind of technical debt is the one you create yourself because there was no way you could have known at the time. 😅
Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu / The Summer Hikaru died is in exciting hands! Director Ryouhei Takeshita's teaser already emphasizes the rural atmosphere through his live-action photography angle, and Masanobu Hiraoka's uncomfortably fluid animation is a perfect fit for the sticky psychological horror
We don't do BFCM, so I spent some time on normal newsletters and one-off emails to tiny audiences in addition to trying to make some automations better. What about you?
"IDOLiSH7" for the back cover of latest spoon.2Di magazine.
"My Happy Marriage" new character visuals of Miyo and Kiyoka

Met a particularly kind handyman today and he helped us with yard work. He was actively working to become an airline pilot and was taking solid steps to do it.
Pretty cool seeing people so clearly on the twisting path to achieving their dreams!
Very interested to see how this impacts email marketing. On one hand, I think this will reinforce best practices for content. On the other, it is going to force content writers into certain writing styles to get the best summaries — just like what has happened on web with SEO.
For the record, I want things to work when forwarded too. But the reality of my work situation is I am producing at such volume that I cannot make everything bulletproof and must rely on tools in my workflow to reach the acceptable level of quality.
A little bit of a frustrating day in my world, #EmailGeeks. The classic problem of designs/functionality breaking when the message gets forwarded popped up again.
Does anyone have tips for addressing this with those stakeholders who are concerned?
2024 is absolutely unreal 😭😭
The dogs passed their annual vet checkup and it cost less than we were anticipating! 🐶🎉
☹️
I’m in South Kitsap and we’ve somehow managed to avoid all the power outages. I was kind of looking forward to some forced-reading and blanket-using, but it never happened!
Do you have a decent restoration timeline at least?
Shaping up to be another really busy day today! Working hard to maintain a positive outlook that these days of extreme effort are only a temporary thing and not a new normal.
A screenshot from a YouTube gaming recap that states I was in the top 4% of Yogscast fans and watched 5 times as much as the average.
No surprises here on the YouTube gaming recap. @yogscast.bsky.social
Landlords, insurance, and large employers impress me more when they remember that people have emotions. I feel like personal impact should be priority #1 in a lot of interactions.
