Now THIS is a fucking video game! Easily the best one of the bunch. You've heard of the rail shooter, now get ready for the rail skater! I replayed the 3 levels of this demo no less than 5 times each and I was disappointed when I saw that end screen! Play Denshattack! or go to hell!
WildBlue Skies
This game set out to be StarFox 64 But Again, and on that front, it succeeded. Weird choices were made with how the game controlled, though. Auto firing was disabled by default, the aim sensitivity is low and the fire button is mapped to X on controller. Not intrusive, just weird.
Prime Monster
The politics stuff is just an aesthetic flourish, it really just functions as the mechanics for your standard card battler. I'm a big fan of the cutesy fantasy horror artstyle and the politics-based puns, but I'm not blown away by how she plays.
Jenny the Witch
One of the clunkier PS2-style hack and slash games I've played, and it feels a bit barebones. Lots of enemies in this just stand there and take the hits without being interrupted, and taking damage often seems like an inevitablility.
Mama's Sleeping Angels
This one won't scare you, but it will disturb you deep in your core. It's a nostalgic echo of a long-dead childhood innocence that seems almost too artful for the friendslop item collection bones it has underneath it.
PAPERHEAD
It's Doom with an Edmund McMillen-esque hand-crafted visual style. One part adorable, two parts bloody and disgusting and all around aggressively charming.

One of those games that really hits you in the desire to replay a level to shave just a few seconds off a run. I wanna like it, but Fuck. Me. I hate the overheat mechanic. Don't tell me I have 3 jumps, a dash and a fast fall if you're gonna just take them away from me every 3 seconds.
Nira: Across Skies
Play this one, y'all! Hitting a ramp just right and shmooving will always feel good, and this one lets you clear some insane distances and heights if you position yourself right!
Bombun
Love the style, and there's definitely something here with the bomberman mechanics applied to 3d platforming, but the demo doesn't excite me to push the limits of the bomb double-jump and dive as its main tech. I'll be keeping an eye on this to see if it's got more surprises up its sleeve.
I don't normally go in for the rage games, but this one stands out by having its gimmick be based around ROCKET JUMPING! I was born for this! It's a bit clunky, but once you unlock the pressure gun, the world is in your froggy lil hands!

I'm trying to understand why people like eggs over easy, and after like 2 weeks of cooking it and nailing the technique where no whites are runny and the yolks are warm but still perfectly runny, I can say with confidence that it's booty.
