I didn't realized there have been new things brewing up over here. I first noticed the reply section now mimics Reddit style, and there's now the ability to go Live. Interesting.
news websites made a mistake when they killed on-site comment sections and outsourced all audience interaction to hyper-scaled, badly-run trash fires like Facebook
It *is* really important to note that a lot of marginalized reporters wanted the comment section removed because it became a vehicle for harassment over time, particularly during the Gamergate era. Though a lack of resources poured into community management played a role in that problem

It depends on personal workflow. I know those who can do everything in Android only, especially r/SamsungDeX folks.

Phones are computers. I ramble about that a lot. This phone is LITERALLY that!
NexPhone doesn't need emulation as it runs natively on the second partition of the storage.
My "fave" replies are from folks who DESPERATELY need to tell me this idea is worthless.
"Maybe some day it will work when we can get REAL operating systems, and not this MOBILE garbage..."
I mute all of them, because really, who needs that level of entitled weaponized ignorance in their lives.

Since my Reddit account got banned and won't be recovered despite multiple disputes, it's a good time I tried out the rebirth Digg.
I already tested it while using Desktop Mode on my LG Wing, and I'm surprised how already usable it is on a large screen.

My old work laptop is too old to get an update to Windows 11. Funnily enough, my daughter's school laptop runs Ubuntu, and it's a LOT less powerful than my old work machine. Looks like it's time to swap the operating system and give her an upgrade!
