I also didn’t want to include multiple Resident Evil games, but I think 7 has a place here. I’m currently playing the OG games and could see some popping up on here as well once I finish them.
This doesn’t quite represent my love of imsims or specifically survival horror nearly enough, and the list could change drastically outside of a few mainstays honestly. It also doesn’t have any boomer shooters (Boltgun and DUSK, my beloved) but it is what it is.
I like horror, fantasy, and RPGs… in case it’s not obvious.

I beat Resident Evil Requiem tonight and damn, that was good. It’s a perfect mix of everything that works in the series, with quite a bit of my favorite brand of horror (RE7) and the best action as well (RE4). Grace is wonderful, Leon is pitch perfect with some solid emotion… play it!

It is a genuine nightmare out here and I do not recommend it at all but if you have the money, it’s probably less so
I know this won’t change with the general gaming audience, especially because I didn’t see the harm when I was younger and not in the industry yet, but I hate when a game becomes a punchline. Everyone is just trying to make cool shit, man. There’s nothing funny about other people’s misfortune.
I think the Highguard situation has been terribly upsetting to watch ever since the beginning. Just tons of ridicule thrown the way of the devs, and their reward for years of work is, as always, mass layoffs. Things need to change.
Diablo finally adding a Warlock feels so fitting, honestly. It’s the one archetype I’ve always felt was missing.
Also, adding it to D2 instead of just D4 is genuinely an unbelievably update. I can’t wait to play it.
