Two years later, an updated graph:
It's still very bad for young women and maths in France, due to a structural reform of high schools.

Inversions support both parallel and location-specific adaptations in snail ecotypes Replicated hybrid zones between ecotypes established over within shore environmental gradients provide an opportunity to study the genomic architecture of barriers to gene flow. The marine snail Litto...

Inversions aren't just enabling parallel adaptation to wave exposure in France & Sweden, they're also hotspots for site-specific differences, including a striking color QTL associated with one inversion but only in France.

Time to publish responsibly: DAFNEE, a database of academia-friendly journals in ecology and evolutionary biology Abstract. The current economics of scientific publishing reveal a profound imbalance: academia pays prices far exceeding the actual costs of publication. R

GitHub - pdimens/harpy: Process linked-read data, from raw sequences to phased haplotypes, batteries included. Works with WGS too! Process linked-read data, from raw sequences to phased haplotypes, batteries included. Works with WGS too! - pdimens/harpy

It is with joy and exhaustion I'd like to announce the release of Harpy v2 πŸŽ†.

What's different? Uh, almost everything. The changelog is so long that even I don't want to read it. BUT. IT WORKS WITH WGS DATA. AND MOST LINKED READ TECH. it just works πŸ™‚

Short INDELs and SNPs as markers of evolutionary processes in hybrid zones Abstract. Polymorphic short insertions and deletions (INDELs ≀ 50Β bp) are abundant, although less common than single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). Evide

Short insertions and deletions are abundant but are they useful markers in genome scans for divergent selection? Hybrid zones in Littorina suggest they can add to information from SNPs, despite stronger purifying selection:
