Financeiramente é uma catástrofe mesmo que não os tratassemos, só pelo que se perderia de tempo a trabalhar, capacidade de trabalho, necessidade de cuidador, etc. Mesmo que vivessemos nessa distopia o excel continuava a não gostar do tabaco, a não ser com o aumento exponencial das taxas associadas.
As pessoas não fazem ideia da quantidade de doença e sofrimento que o tabaco causa sem matar. Enfartes, avc, amputações, cancros, gastrites, gengivites e perda de dentes, cataratas e cegueira, demência, infertilidade, doença pulmonar obstrutiva, etc..
