Tech bro oligarch: The AI is... real... sentient.... it's feeling real feelings... we must do everything we can to protect it and give it rights
Also tech bro oligarch: Human females are basically cattle made to push out as many babies as possible, all of which I will neglect
Itβs not a Sox flag! π΅π·
Just thinking about Hot Al Pacino.
Is it just me or did people start using "perfidious" more after One Battle dropped?
Vibe
I loved it, probably doing a 2nd run over the summer! I wanna get the portrait of Kim Kitsuragi to hang like a Jesus picture on the wall lol
Friday
Would probably have to be these.
Glengarry Glen Ross (1992)
One of the best casts ever?
Jack Lemmonβs slimy huckster, Jonathan Pryceβs pathetic closet-walker, and Pacinoβsβ¦ well okay, heβs just kind of Pacino but itβs so good, they all sell you on pure bullshit. Itβs not really much of a movie but itβs a damn good play.
Hedda (2025)
Oh man, does this one swing and sizzle. Iβve never read Ibsen but this certainly has my attention. I love Nia DaCostaβs screenplay to this but I donβt love the lighting/camera work. Still, the complexity of these women makes me feel at home in some way. To be not all bad or good.
I walked 200 miles over the course of 13 days to protest the Illinois Budget Crisis of 2017. (Thatβs me 3rd from the left)
iβd make the case that the doohickey oughta be mentioned in the same breath as excalibur and other weapons of legend
I don't know how they made Dek so expressive while still retaining the Predator design, but Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi is delightful. And matching him all the way is Elle Fanning's Thia, she is a joy to watch and her action sequence when she escapes the box is ridiculously inventive and fun.
Predator: Badlands (2025)
I was genuinely shocked with this one!
They made a blunt commentary on deprogramming the manosphere through Predator, while also expanding the lore on an absolutely brutal planet. A little Disney-fied with few story surprises but a super fun ride.
Prey (2022)
Fantastic camera work, music and action. Naruβs a great hero, and Comanche culture in a Predator movie was fresh and exciting. I like the story (it's a little obvi though) and the performances, but the dialogue/one-liners let the movie down a little. Still, good flick!
Aww congrats!!
So so so sick
Ken, can we get a βtrans rightsβ on Jeopardy?
Got tickets for myself and Michael! He's never seen it and I'm super excited to show him my childhood favorite like this. β₯
*For that to fully sell me, but I can totally see your point!
Really good points, and I'd be inclined to agree.
I think XIV (been a while since I've played) would need more representations of fatness that aren't Vauthry for that to sell me. Dulia-Chai is an overall positive character but her affection for food is still played for laughs IIRC.
Yupyup.
This is also a criticism I had with FFXIV Shadowbringers. We need to get away from this idea that fatness = greed, especially when obesity in the United States is more often seen amongst poor people due to shit nutrition options and food deserts.
"Thereβs a lot to like about Resident Evil: Requiem. Itβs a fun action game with some great scares. I just wish I hadnβt had to find out that apparently, the gameβs developers think that fat people are not worthy of human dignity, nor even characterization."
Started logging things on Letterboxd! I think I've almost remembered everything I've seen that I can fairly give a rating to. Please feel free to follow and I'll follow back because I should really learn how to use this site lol.

Too many people never heard or understood the term, βMy right to swing my fist ends where your nose begins.β
Unprofessionalβs not the word for it, I just wasnβt really a fan of it and I felt it was at odds with the screenplayβs strength from time to time. But, thatβs ultimately itβs own choice that also makes it feel more everyday in some way.
It Was Just An Accident (2025)
Oh wow. Those last 25 minutes are something else.
An insanely brave movie for the moment. Yes, the acting is βunprofessional,β yes the dialogue is a little stilted but the plot and the morality of these characters is masterful.
I just saw a commercial for an AI that used βAll Capsβ by Madvillain.
I want to throw up.
