It’s more of an issue of motivation, I’m autistic and need to feel like I can obsess over what I’m making lol

A banded woolly bear caterpillar (pyrrharctia Isabella) on a piece of bark.

So I decided I won’t be making the moth, not that I couldn’t do it but I realize it isn’t for me. BUT I also realized that I love caterpillars.

The start of a caterpillar head on a wire using fly tying materials and techniques. The wire is being held (as best as it can) by a binder clip on a large spool of wire.

Same as previous pic but shown at a different angle to see how janky my setup really is.

With that in mind I’m gonna make more caterpillar sculptures.

I recently stumbled upon fly tying which inspired me to use different materials. I have my bead tray and super janky vise setup ready to go now!

Lia’s fingers show a wooden embroidery hoop with black linen with a rectangle of dissolvable material on which is printed the Milky Way in black and white with some red and blue markings. Some tiny single strand seed stitch and French knots in white, peach, oranges, aubergine, and dark browns and grays have been stitched. The tiny needle holds dusky rose thread. Below the Milky Way is black on black whipped backstitch that looks a bit like flames, it’s pubic hair. An hourglass-shaped needle minder that reads “this is taking forever” is attached to the cloth.

i have a soft spot for budgies. they're the smallest, most vulnerable bird that gets treated as the most disposable. they're just as smart and strong willed as any other parrot. not a lot get saved like this.

A gremlin doll made from paper mache, mulberry bark, and spun cotton, painted with acrylics.
