unfortunately for him i graduated, so idk if he ever played those games with his new coursemates.

will i ever meet him again and ask? probably not. but he still greets me on my birthday on facebook.

in my senior year i noticed he frequently brought boxes of card-based party games so people can come around and play with him. it’s the usual shelf-fillers, so he has cards against humanity and joking hazard.

and boy does he have expansion packs for joking hazard. that’s all he ever talked about.

every time i see the party games shelf in a TCG shop i remember that one spectrum kid i befriended in college. no one wanted to approach him because he was always self-absorbed and asked a lot of questions if he was given attention. all he wanted was to make friends but keeps on pushing his likes.

come to think of it, chinese manufacturers don’t have to kowtow to the standards of the phoebus cartel and with today’s technology be able to create the everlasting lightbulb of myth and legend.

i think what makes modern cars suck is that it lacks a story, myth, or pedigree. it’s always designers seeking perfection, creating stylish product, breaking records ad nauseum. but did the tesla go to valhalla? did the rimac survive 24 hours in hell? did a staria make a teen’s vacation enjoyable?
