IT guy says he's almost 100% sure they can get all data back and the hard drive will be usable again but man, 750€.
The PCB is completely dead and the only way to get any data back is to get spare parts and fix it, but it costs 750€
Took it to get diagnosed by IT folks. They might be able to save it but depending on how bad it is it might cost more than our rent 🫠
The hard drive I use to archive ALL my art and reference packs just died

Took me way too long to see he went for folks in dire mental/financial situations. And these people were oftentimes trans, me included. Knowing how he behaved towards people with trans ocs... I don't know if I'm overthinking it but 🙃
Man this is awful. Back in 2024 I was trying to build my portfolio and made one book cover for him knowing it was just royalties (got less than $0.40, lesson learned) and then left to focus on paid work. Good thing I did. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this behaviour.
