Average "SILENCE": 303 words.
​The success rate for letters under 100 words was 6%. Over 300 words, it dropped to 0%.

​I audited 505 of my own comic pitches sent over 10 years to see how tone impacts success:
​What gets a Yes / any answer.
​A formal tone gets you any answer, but a human tone gets you a deal.
​Note: Based on my personal data and a small sample size of successes.

The data shows that you basically need to fire at all angles and expect about 1-2% success, more or less. Of course, this is only one part of the equation. You need to study, refine your art and writing, master the pitch, and many other things. But if you’re persistent, it will happen eventually.

I'm using sheets to track pitches. I used gemini to compare the data from sheets with my emails and make a list. The pie chart is done with Gemini.
