Cool thing about this sketchbook is it led to my largest acrylic painting to date, my 5th anniversary painting. The original concept came about after my husband saved me from a spider in our bathroom, but the painting wouldn't be made for a couple more years.

1. I was actually laid up in bed unable to walk when I colored Mushroom King
2. Unicorn Hunt took me at least 16hrs to make, but I lost track of time when I started coloring so it probably to way longer
3. The Mermaid painting took required numerous sketches as I couldn't figure out the composition

One of the fun things about sketchbooks is you can be experimental and draw things you wouldn't normally do. Like when I made these robot birds, I had so much fun drawing them I felt I needed to draw more and ended up making a weird mix media piece because of it.

Got my new glasses today!
Guess who has a massive bruise on their thigh? This gal. How'd I get it you ask? An intense battle with multiple arm rests at an auditorium, those little buggers fight dirty 🤕 but seriously I repeatedly walked into 4-6 of them in a row. The bruise is about 3 inchs long and 1 inch wide and swollen.

Like in '22 when I was commissioned to draw this this Owlin named Murmur. I had so much fun drawing him and I think its really fun to see the concept vs final design
