We have a few from when my dad was going through cancer treatment and lost his ability to walk. And honestly, the whole family uses them because they really are helpful! Especially for getting things that fell behind somewhere or whatever. I'm glad we kept them.

I don't see much difference between transphobes and how young earth creationists talk about evolution. They greatly misrepresent the opposition and show they don't know what they're talking about. "They'll trans a boy for playing with dolls" is similar to "they think humans evolved from rocks!"
It’s so weird that not so long ago, like, less than 20 years, the progressive feminist position was gender de-segregation in sport and other male dominated spaces. Then the terfs came along and convinced the mainstream that the most progressive feminist position is that women are weak and feeble.
It makes zero sense. I've never met a trans person who thinks there's only one right way to be a man or woman. It's trans people who I find are more accepting of gender non-comforming men and women. It's the transphobes who want to police people's gender expression, not trans people!
I ran into this kind of thinking a lot when engaging with TERFs when I was still on Twitter. They completely ignore the times where someone transitioning actually makes them gay, like a trans women who's attracted to women. Or they were convinced I *must* be a lesbian and couldn't accept I'm asexual
I'm with you. Even if the people I know who voted for him all three times ever see the error of their ways, it's still going to leave a stain on our relationship. It already does. To know they saw him for who he was and supported him anyway? You have to work hard to make up for that.
I was thinking of something like this recently, though at this point the people I know who voted for him three times just push their heels in deeper. But I was also thinking to myself I've been validated this whole time, because I *never* voted for him. If anything, I underestimated how bad he was.

More than anything, what an effeminate gay man will run into isn't people forcing him to transition to be a woman. More likely, he'd run into people telling him he needs to "be a man" and police his effeminate traits. Most trans people I know have no problem with gender non-conforming gay people!
This whole view makes no sense. I ran into it a lot with TERFs when I was back on Twitter. And they just completely ignore the fact that some people end up gay after transition. For instance, a trans woman who likes women. But that never factors in. Nor bi and asexual people, either.

The people who try to make it harder to be able to vote in this country to make sure "illegal" immigrants aren't able to "interfere" in our elections seem to be the same people who have no problem with our leadership getting to dictate the leadership of other countries. How does that make sense?
It sadly took me till the middle of the fourth book. But even the ones I did get through, I remember thinking "this is what had everyone going so crazy in the early 2000's?" lol I wasn't able to read them as they came out, so I missed the hype. They were just... okay. Nothing spectacular.
I definitely recommend stopping a book if you just don't like it. Funny enough, I tried reading through Harry Potter in college (about a decade before we knew her transphobic views) and just couldn't finish it because it was so boring. lol I'm GLAD I set that series down and never picked it back up.
I still remember exit polls showing many people voted for Trump because they thought he wouldn't start new wars, especially in the Middle-east, and thought Harris would go war crazy. Now that Trump is starting a war, it's suddenly a good thing. Whatever dear leader wants. No consistent values.
