When I say I love the art of non-artists, they look at me like "you mean you think it's FUNNY." and I'm not denying that a lot of it IS funny but I genuinely love to see the decisions that people make who are not part of the art world, who don't have all our hang-ups. It leads to unique choices!!

i think about strange aeon's approach, which is to focus on a specific instance of a thing happening that was a long time ago, going through great pains to get rid of as much identifying info as possible, and humanize folks whenever possible is the way to do it. they focus context & not the person
Meticulously documenting every single thing a person does, no matter how awful they may or may not have been, is real weird!!
i think we need to make a "this just a lolcow video" checklist because a lot of youtube videos pretend to be "exposes" or "the history of ______|" videos but they're just lolcow videos. book youtube is 80% lolcow videos by weight
