I have the album in my collection but haven't listened to it for ages - in a similar ballpark to early JPSE as I remember; I will give it a spin!

π My pleasure!
Did you know, Bob, that it's the 250th anniversary in 2026 of the 'Botany' by Wellington's own Dr William Withering? In the groundbreaking tome he proved that the fungi Marasmius Oreades was the cause of the fabled fairy ring. More here:

π I'm sure the great man will be there with you as the Imps stand on the verge of history! Good luck for tonight, and I'll try and drop you an email soon - have a project coming up that might be of interest!
Phil, long time, no speak! You must be on the verge of getting very, very excited?! #Imps
And starring Harry Andrews - educated at Wrekin College in Wellington, don't you know! #Shropshire π¬
Today we are outside Bishop Percy's house at the bottom of the Cartway in Bridgnorth, where a yellow Glasdon Nestor 90 has taken up residence in this historic riverside area of the town. Bishop Percy's House was built for Richard Forster in 1580 and one of very few buildings to survive the great fire of 1646 during the English Civil War. Originally known as 'Forster's Folly' it takes it's modern day name from Thomas Percy, Bishop of Dromore and author of 'Reliques of English Poetry', who was born here in 1729. Today's lyrics are a mangling of the Battle of Otterburn by June Tabor, a traditional song that was included in Bishop Percy's hugely influential tome: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reliques_of_Ancient_English_Poetry
πΆ Then he's marched on down the Cartway,
"Who's house is this so fine?"
It's up spoke proud Bishop Percy,
"I tell you this grit bin is mine!" πΆ

My pleasure, Bob! Thinking about it, I do wonder if it's got a different lid because it's a lockable one. Whereabouts is it located?
A roadside yellow Sportsmark beehive grit bin alongside the old A5 in Queens Head, Shropshire.
That's an interesting one, Bob. It looks very much like a Sportsmark Beehive bin, but I've never seen one with a lid like that before (although other models in their range do have similar ones). Compare and contrast with this one from Queen's Head in north Shropshire π€
A double EIIR postbox and a yellow grit bin stand adjacent to each other against a stone wall. In an attempt to make the image more interesting, the photographer has cropped it so that three green finger post signs appear in the top right corner. These feature a walking figure and directions to Toilets, Westway Centre & so on. Thus, the image features red, yellow & green. Sigh.

I was having similar thoughts just over a month ago, as Salop spiralled towards the bottom of the football league, but - one new manager, and 6 wins out of 7 later - my feelings have turned on their head. It could happen for the Potters, too, so I'd say stick with it, Glenn, cos you never know!
My one and only trip to the Victoria Ground was to watch Stoke play Spurs back in 1984; as I recall, Garth Crooks scored the only goal of the game! Never went with Salop, although I think we played you a few times back in the late '80s and early '90s. #MemoryLane
And just in case you weren't wondering about the song lyrics (I only listen to the most fashionable recording artists ππ):

#SluiceValveSaturday is the second best hashtag ever πΏπ°β² Bob, I'm going to say it's a Broxap bin (made in Stoke-On-Trent).

A faded yellow grit-salt bin stands in front of a Cotswold stone wall. A sluice valve sign lurks in its shade. A lamp post provides a vertical on the left. A wooden fence provides the top third of the image. Pale spring sunlight. Weedy pavement.

Today, we're in St Mary's Lane Car Park in Much Wenlock looking at a scene that is almost too beautiful to exist: a yellow Kingspan Titan 400 grit bin and a silver Suzuki Jimny (mine!) π
πΆ I turned around and you were standing there.
More than a little yellow.
More than a little dirty.
So beautiful I had to stare.
Then I knew you had the power to change me πΆ

Glad to hear you had a good time, Helen, and I like the sound of the Big Wave π It's not a real meal unless you take home a doggy bag!
BC (Before Cowan) π If we can get to 50 points I think that would be quite an achievement given where we've come from. It's certainly making me feel a lot better about renewing my season ticket!
Look forward to your review!
I really should. I started getting into it many years ago, when I worked at Shropshire Archives, and always meant to continue. My great grandfather's middle name was 'Highway', in tribute to Humphrey Kynaston - to whom we're supposedly related. It would be worth it just to try and confirm that!
Walking out of the stadium yesterday, I felt the result was a fair reflection of the game but the stats were fairly equal and we could easily have equalised towards the end. Suppose it shows how far we've come that we can feel disappointed with a narrow defeat against good opposition!
Yup, my Great Grandfather was John Jones, and his father was... well, you've guessed it! In St Martins, they used to give people additional names to delineate them from other Jones'. My family were known as 'Clemson Jones' - I've no idea why?! Happy St David's Day, Helen! #DyddGΕ΅ylDewi
Yup. We could maybe have sneaked an equaliser at the end, via Boyle, Sang or a penalty, but hard to escape the feeling they did a number on us!
A sunny day in Shrewsbury but, alas, not on the pitch as fans and players applaud one and other following Salop's 2-1 home reverse against local rivals Walsall.
And so our glorious winning streak ends. The players looked jaded after successive Saturday-Tuesday games, and we struggled to impose ourselves against a resolute opponent (apart from Iwan Morgan, of course, who was π₯π₯π₯). Still, a great run and we are in a very different place now π

I say 'braw' but I've no idea if that's the definitive pronunciation - wonder if @shroppiemon.bsky.social can help us out?
