It’s early so sky is still brightening after the sunrise and the sky is pale blue with wispy clouds but with a yellow tinge as it gets closer to the horizon. The water of the river Thames is grey blue and rippling. There are some small boats on one side of the river and in the far distance are the office blocks and skyscrapers of London as well as several cranes working on adding to that skyline.

Passing through London on my way to Norfolk and it’s brightening into a lovely day.

Murray, a very fluffy black cat with white paws and whiskers is sitting upright on a table in front of a tv screen. Murray was not impressed with my explanation for the costume but tolerated it because treats were offered and he thought he looked pretty cool.

He tolerated the onesie as it was for charity but felt the hood was a bit much as he has perfectly fine ears and does not need fake antenna. He is pictured sitting by the back door because he has had enough and requires the human to remove the outfit asap and provide plentiful treats or he’s going to go find someone who doesn’t make him dress up for charity. Whoever this Misha person is, Murray would like a word with him…

Thank you, that's great to hear. I'm already very short-sighted so the optician thinks I may not find it too bad as I'm used to turning to focus on things. Very glad they also offer 100 day trial so if I really can't cope I can return them & get separate reading/distance instead. Fingers crossed!

Tilly a cat with mostly white fur and then patches of black fur on her head and back. She has green eyes, long white whiskers and is wearing a red collar with a bell. Tilly is sitting on the back of a grey sofa and peering round as she is about to catch a toy being waved so only the front half of her body can be seen. She has plush fur and is clearly a pampered princess who should be given as many treats as she wants whenever she wants.

I have 1000s of cat photos on my phone & have just noticed over 1000 of them are of a cat who does not even live with me! Introducing Tilly who lives next door. I have the joy of looking after Tilly a few nights a month & sometimes take my ruffians along to entertain her. #cats

Had an eye test yesterday & optician traumatised me with the news that I need varifocals or reading glasses. Joys of only being 3 years off the big 5-0 Thankfully I had a lovely sales person & I get 100 days to see if I can tolerate them. Anyone experienced varifocals wearers out there with advice?

With my current pair I try to distract them & get them fighting their toys when they’re in this mood. I have catnip bananas and rainbows (yeoww brand) that they love to hold & kick or I’ll use a teaser toy to pull their attention if I see one stalking the other about to pounce.

I know, my previous cat used to get pounced on like this and I’d worry but he would be sitting next to other cat 2 mins later having a wash. Very different to 2 cats fighting as I had 2 cats who did not get on and that was awful, actual fur flying fighting and had to be kept in separate rooms 😭

Playing, no ears back hissing and done in a pretty laid back way similar to kittens wrestling when little. Fighting has more aggression, I have a spicy cat so familiar with it!

That’s incredible! I only did GISH the last couple of years and was definitely in a “just for fun” team but loved the experience. Would love to see it reborn or something similar started but can’t imagine it without Misha’s chaotic imagination fuelling it.

I only set up a second account yesterday and used the app but I know I had to change the moderation settings for both as they are basically two completely separate accounts. So I feel like the answer is yes but haven’t tested it much.

Not quite the same but on my birthday a few weeks ago I managed to hurt my back because I'd locked myself out. Went to shops, came home, realised keys were inside, knocked on neighbour's door to ask if I could climb over their fence, climbed over fence, fell off backwards into my garden! Ow!!

I've recently been enjoying some of my favourite series as audiobooks and I find different things are jumping out at me that I haven't noticed when reading them in print or that haven't hit the same until read out loud. I do have to have busy hands though or I nod off! #books
