Reframing my perspective that the process is the goal has been so helpful. It's too easy to fixate on all the reasons you're not at the end. It's good to look back at the milestones. Like trying on an old button up long forgotten in the closet and seeing all the personal growth.

I always appreciate those grounding sentiments. The journey of 1000 miles begins with the first step. Years of allowing self resentment and stagnation have certainly taken time and effort to unwind. And reflecting on that in itself being the progress I aimlessly sought has been illuminating.

Thank you and likewise best on your journey! I nowadays try to turn those ruminations to gratefulness for the hardships because the perspective helps me value the blessings I have.

Glad to hear the same for you! It's amazing how much changes when you shift focus from demanding yourself to change vs allowing yourself to grow.

Been taking that approach to things more often and it's cool how a small reminder helps lead to good progress

Suppose sharing it openly helps set it in stone and hopefully sheds light on my sparse updates and interactions. Perhaps offer solace to others feeling similarly.
Been rekindling satisfaction in the work of creation, sharing genuinely, accepting lessons from failures.
The journey is the destination~

Constructive thoughts. Been a long period of deep self analysis the last couple years in particular. Working with life's challenges, understanding depression/anxiety, bad impulsive habits, kicking an unhealthy addiction. Always work to be done. But doing my best yet and getting stronger every day!

Reflecting specifically on how this self perpetuating thought cycle has impacted my art production and socialization. How I've excused myself through this fear. How I've failed to deliver on promises and let folks down.

Pondering on this again. How multitudes of tasks compound to be overwhelming, the longer it takes the more exponentially the anxiety loops, brooding about the disappointment of failed expectations, avoidance kicks in, realizing this and self berating, all on repeat exhausting mental resources.

The satisfaction when you've grow so massively fat, an enormous landscape of soft blubber. Rolls upon rolls of fat scaly dragon as far as the eyes can see, rippling like an ocean of lard as the sun sets.
