I have disappeared from social for a while but for good reason -- I'm writing like crazy! I am close to 60K words in "The Cardinal Witch", my new novel manuscript.

Most of my post are about writing but close to 2 years ago, my mare tore a suspensory ligament & needed surgery. I wasn't able to ride for almost a year. Got to get back on in March 2025.

Hi! Sorry for the delay answering. Been a lot going on. I originally did the story as part of an NYC Midnight flash/micro fiction challenge. My genre was fairy tale so I decided to a "fractured" version!

Got to review my short story, Gangsta Godmother, which will appear in the upcoming Nefarious anthology from Duskbound Books. (probably in January). Had a few minor edits but otherwise, looking good!

I know I mentioned in another post that I'd lost a friend to breast cancer. She was also part of my review squad -- a group of friends who will look at my rough drafts & beat them with a big stick.

I lost a very close friend to breast cancer yesterday. We're going to miss her terribly. She had a big personality that could fill the room. She was far, far too young to have to leave this world.
