Italian voice actor Carlo Bononi was the voice of all of the characters on Pingu. A trained clown by trade, he used a theater technique called grammelot, which consists of "speaking" in a mix of babbled gibberish noises. He improvised all the voices live and unscripted.

We were given a prompt as an invitation to participate in this newsletter: “How are you using AI in the classroom?” While we have accepted this invitation, we are engaging in the most humanistic act we can imagine refusing the prompt.
Ultimately, though, our objection to incorporating LLMs and generative-AI in the classroom is more fundamental: not only does it short-circuit the pathways of learning, but it also potentially nullifies what we see as our fundamental pedagogical commitment to our students and our scholarly commitment to the past.
I get asked a lot during talks at universities how to integrate LLMs into the classroom "ethically". And the more I think about it, the more I'm affirmed the answer is "don't".
