🎓 Who We’re Looking For
– BA or Master’s (completed or near completion) in Econ or another quantitative field
– Strong coding skills in Python and R/Stata
– Comfortable with panel-data methods
– Excellent communication skills
– Deep interest in environmental economics, energy, and innovation
🔍 What You’ll Do
– Compile, clean & merge large datasets (patents, bibliometrics, firm-level data)
– Conduct econometric/statistical analysis in Python, R, or Stata
– Contribute to academic manuscripts, policy briefs & presentations
– Support literature reviews, organise research seminars
📌 Position at a Glance
Duration: 1 year, renewable for a 2nd year
Start date: Flexible (autumn 2025 preferred)
Salary: £36,008–£40,991 (potential to progress to £43,854)

I think in economics we are getting to an interesting place of (relative) epistemic humility about merhods #EconSky. Theory first reigned, then the credibility revolution arrived, and some took it to extremes. And now we are back to a more balanced approach of methodological pluralism. Thoughts?
