Sounds like me alright. It is the best thing.

Hi, I'm Paul. Needless word connoisseur, darling rescuer, and adverb aficionado. Rebel scum. Usually happy when it rains. Wants to catch the big fish. I am not here for hot takes. #AmReading Sanderson Well of Ascencion
So, todayβs game is #DragonAge Origins Lelianaβs Song. I had forgotten how ruthless she was. This is something else.
So, revising my magic college story, Iβve mashed together a handful of scene fragments of a secondary POV to see if thereβs a story here.
Thereβ are a few sparks, some reactions that reveal character, but I am not convinced thereβs something here. Iβll know more at the end of the weekend.
Gremlins! Gremlins everywhere!

Images are overrated.
So apparently I get to see the Sex Pistols this summer. Woop woop!
This is such a delightful series by the most delightful author! If you've ever felt frustrated that romance always seems to feature young adults, @brennabaileybooks.bsky.social has the cure for you!
Some great reads here. The Kobolds are the best.
Looks good!
Typically computergames, usually Dragon Age games. Binged Californication at a lowpoint.
Next weekβs revision chaper will be a fun one. More than a dozen scene fragments. Magic classes, growing paranoia, Chekovβs poison bottle, first sex scene, and loads of exposition. Not sure how much a editor will let me to keep, but itβll be fun to write and useful to expand the #worldbuilding.
Iβm revisiting The Secret History on audio these day, catching glimpses of better days.
I still love that book.
THE THREE RULES OF GENREΒ FICTION
Iβve been working hard to stop using the word βrulesβ when it comes to creative writingβespecially fiction, and including genre fiction. Iβve used that word in connection to two things in particular: one scene, one POV and show, donβt tell, but both those thingsβ¦
Fair use? Not so sure anymore.
Undecided. Double down on revising the current chapters or push for a finished draft? Both are very tempting.
Oh, and snow? We got lots and lots of it, so I hear you.
Making pizza and playing #theb52s on the headphones.
Sometimes life is good.

Revisions goes well, but sometimes writing out-of-order means little surprises. First sex then meet cute was not the plan.

So, ten seasons of Stargate dropped on streaming. Do I dare?
I have watched much YouTube for years, but now the start feed appears broken. AI slop everywhere and little new I can trust. Curating my feed seems impossible.
Itβs time for a change.
A classic!
The Godfather
I have a dozen scene fragments, it is dark, I am wearing sunglasses, and I have a week to turn this into a chapter or two.
Woop woop!
In the past week, Iβve worked on a final chapter, turning all my little notes and plans into an actual story.
Is it good? Probably not, but it is written -- not ideas or an outline, but the last stretch from the main characterβs point of view -- written.
I am so happy.
Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.
Reinstalling #Diablo IV.
It is so satisfying to make up words only to find they already exist. The word was citrusy.
Goodness, this is embarrassing. Reeks of desperation.
I've got mixed feeling about a new #Highlander. I really want it to be successful... but the first was perfect.
This is our motto!
